Hey guys (or whoever's still actually using their blog),

Yeah, it's me again. After a long time of having not updated, I finally got around to it. Thank Sprite if you want anyone to thank; she wanted me to check out hers and I decided to update my own while I'm at it.

Life's interesting. AP World is still to be the death of my GPA. I mean, I just can't do the whole learn-on-your-own-and-take-a-quiz-over-the-chapter thing. I prefer to have a teacher teach me, you know what I mean? Anyway, if I'm lucky, I might be able to pull off this semester with an A but that's only if my teacher gives another massive curve on the final and I do well in the last quarter.

In other news, I'm beginning to be kind of annoyed with piano. I mean, I don't have time to practice and that fact is revealed every time I compete or perform. I've asked my parents if I can quit (again) and they seem to be considering it, at least for next year. I'm still not sure what I'll do if they actually say yes this time and I think I'll mull it over some more before I make up my mind. Still, this is a pretty life-changing thing for me and I thought I'd throw it out there.

In other news, some nice releases are coming up. For lovers of Rick Riordan's The Red Pyramid, book two will be out sometime in May. Additionally, I believe The Warlock (by Michael Scott) will be release about the same time. The sequel to The Lost Hero is being released next fall, I believe, as is Runelight and Inheritance. All in all, this will be a good year. Over the summer, the last Harry Potter movie is coming out, but I might not be around for that, which is kind of disappointing. I mean, it's coming out on my birthday and I was going to have a big midnight release/birthday party for it but not it seems like it won't happen. :(

Welcome To A New School Year

Hi guys (though I doubt any of you still read this accursed thing),
Welcome to a new school year! I hope you find it relaxing and fun! Not! Maybe that explains why I haven't posted on here in forever.

Well, I honestly think that should be what the school tells us, especially for AP World. God, I hate that class. I used to think I was taking on way too much last year when I took AP Calc BC. This year, I'm taking AP World and a math class at MSU. I think that qualifies as more work. Completely. At least last year, I actually had time to do stuff.

What's new? Not much. A couple new obsessions (I'm never without those, even with the homework load). I love love love Phantom of the Opera and Star Wars right now. The Phantom and Darth Vader rock. That's all I really have to say about that. I will accept no other answers. Got it?

Well, fanfiction is still major in my life, apparently. I spent way too much of this summer reading said writing so my writing has changed a lot. And I can't stop reading or writing it. It's not entirely helpful when I'm trying to stay up to date with homework and stuff. Then again, neither is typing this but I'm still here, aren't I?

I don't really have much more to say. Sophomore year is a pain-in-the-bum. I mean, the testing is really easy (ACT Plan today was sooo ridiculously easy) but the workload the teachers give are just nightmare-ish. I honestly think they're trying to work us until we collapse. I feel like I will collapse relatively soon. I'm surprised I haven't yet. Maybe my endurance is better than I thought. Or fanfiction is keeping me sane. One or the other.

Anyway, I don't really have much else to say. I'm mainly just writing this for my own benefit now. I mean, how many people still read this crap? I know I haven't looked at any of my friends' in too long and I bet the same is true in the opposite direction.

My last comment, I guess, will be that I really need work in AP World. The truth is that I'm feeling like maybe I should drop the course. I can't keep my grade at an A and that's going to look terrible on my transcript. Yeah, I know, not everything is about the transcript. Blame my parents. Their thought process is getting to me. Plus, I'm sick of getting a B on the tests and quizzes. While I know that it's my fault, I'm not really sure how I can fix that problem and I'm too lazy to do anything else.

Agh! My Parents Are Going To KILL Me!

Hi All,
I realize it's been forever. Between the absolute lack of interesting stuff to talk about and the completely insane homework load at the high school, I've not had the time, or the need, to come onto here and share my thoughts. If anyone's even keeping track of what's being posted here anymore, anyway. I can't say I blame you. I would have long given up on myself. Wait, I have...

Anyway, high school is ridiculous. Especially math right now. I think I was expecting too much out of myself to sign up for Calc BC. This is becoming insane. I mean, I just seriously bombed a math test. It was far beyond Asian fail. How's 19/30? That's a D, for anyone who's actually interested. Very near a 60%. Ick. However, because majority of the class - certain other genius freshmen excluded (you can make your own assumptions here) - didn't do the best either, given that we had an unexpected fire drill and whatnot, Mrs. Carpenter agreed to curve the test, lowering it by 3 points. Now, I'm at a C-. It's better, but not much. This'll definitely bring my final grade down to points where I'm probably not going to finish this quarter with an A. Epic Asian fail. I'm dead.

However, after spending a while surfing the Internet, namely www.fanfiction.net, I feel much better. I may be an utter dork, finding that reading random stories about Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter, Star Trek, etc. make me feel much more relaxed, but nevertheless, it does and I intend to take full advantage of it. And yes, if anyone was wondering, I have been able to become obsessed with Star Trek, which was evident from my souvenir from New York for choir. Rather than getting anything actually related to said city, I got a Star Trek magnet which is stuck to my locker as I speak - er, type. Speaking of which, the trip was really fun. However, I do wish we got more time to just explore on our own. Most of what we did was all in a large group, like a tour or something. Then again, they probably wouldn't trust 50 high-schoolers to make it safely around New York City.

Well, I have fully seen how random I can be whilst typing away at anything and everything that comes to mind. For instance, I just remembered about Teacher Recommendations and how I still haven't figured out whether I want to do the science research thing or not. Alas, I cannot decide. I suppose I better discuss this more with my parents, once my mom gets home from Utah.

Oddly, writing this has calmed me down from my complete freak-out mood from earlier, which I had been on the brink of ever since I found out my math test grade. Since Mrs. Carpenter weights the tests out of 100 points, it has a large impact on my grade and I'm just concerned about what has happened to it. Now though, I feel quite a bit better, though I'm no doubt going to get chewed out by my parents about it. *sigh*

Summer, Whoopee!

Hey guys. Once again, time seems to fly by and suddenly, you realize that it's been about a month since you last posted. :P
My summer hasn't been the most fun. Sure, I get to not go to school and practice the piano and violin and read and... yeah, you get the point. Oh, and I forgot! I stay home and study for testing out of Physical Science too! It's not the easiest thing. Maybe, when I go to Britain, I'll have something interesting to post about.
I went and saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince the day it first came out. I have to say, it was the best movie yet! Before hand, my sister and I worked on my dad and managed to change him. He is ofiicially a Harry potter fan now. We all went the day it came out and watched it. I also saw two interesting trailers, one for New Moon (it looked a lot better than the one for Twilight) and one for the Lightning Thief. They were both really cool!

School's Almost Over!

Hey guys,
I'm sooooo sorry I haven't posted in ages. But, I figured that since I am too lazy to start memorizing my poem for LA that I'd post here instead. I'm not a very good student. :P

Anyway, my life has been... good, I suppose. I lost the student council election, but I pretty much expected that. And, I'm not upset. Yay me! School's ending soon, which I'm still trying to decide if I'm happy about. The couple years at middle school have been some of the best in my life. I met new friends, and it's just been awesome. On the other hand, Senioritis has caught up to me and I find myself getting bored in class, especially Language Arts. It'd be nice to be able to just read in that class sometimes.

Okay, another issue is the Choir Concert. I mean, I don't frinken' have all the pieces memorized yet. For instance, I don't know the ending to Inscription of Hope at all. I'm pretty sure it's not my job to be worried, but I am anyway. And now my CHAMP grade is back and I got an A- in the quizzes section. Probably because I've gotten some 80% ish scores, but still, my parents may be mad.

On the plus side, I'm looking forward to building my rocket, the trip to Cedar Point (maybe), the 8th grade dance (actually, not so much), and Summer Vacation, even though I'll probalby spend more time than I care to think about on the piano and violin, practicing. I know it's a good thing, but still.... I don't look forward to that. Also, I'll have more time to kick back and relax, which will be strange.

Another thing to look forward to is Harry Potter 6 coming out on my birthday. That'll be fun! Maybe I'll find a way to convince my parents to let me go the day it comes out. I can't wait.

Whoa, I wrote a lot. I should probably get to work on my memorization. I picked a long poem and I need to know half, at least. Oh the joy of poems in Language Arts.

Just Skiving Dance

Sorry I haven't posted in a little while and thanks everyone for posting. It made me happy :)

Okay, so an explanation of the title. I had a lot of homework to do because I didn't do my S.S. essay that's due tomorrow or my CHAMP and I was afraid that I would have no time to do my CHAMP assignment tomorrow (hooray for procrastination!) so I told my mom that I would skip dance today to get everything finished and leave me time to practice the piano, because I didn't really yesterday, due to my lovely DBE that I turned in today. Okay, big run-on sentence right there. And, by I told my mom, I meant I really believe that. I really believe that I should skip dance for homework due tomorrow and the day after and practicing the different instruments that I play...

Anyway.... Onto a more interesting topic. Well, actually, not so much, but I figured I should probably post a little more often here, because as Natalie pointed out last time, I have to post more often for people to read. Thanks Natalie, for enlightening me on that one. (Really, there was no sarcasm there. I'm not Sarah G, you know.)

As far as school's concerned, I'm doing okay. I've taken my SAT (thank goodness that's over), gotten my ACT Explore score back with everyone elses, and think I failed in my CHAMP test because I left out a square sign when I was drawing a graph of an equation... but, that's okay. Since CHAMP is technically pass or fail, I'm good. Plus, last year, I scored a 4 out of 10 on one of my tests, and I ended with an A, so all's good.

Essays, Oh the Joy

I know, this post is really close when I last posted, but I felt the need to, due to the accursed essays the teachers have been leaving us. Yeah, I know, I'm supposed to be a nerd and not have a problem with them, but that doesn't mean I can't dislike them.

Okay, problem 1. It's Monday, and I've completely forgotten about them until late last night. I know, procrastination, but I'm huge on that. Problem is, I said I'd work on CHAMP homework as well today, which means a whole day of writing. Yeah, fun.

Problem 2. I finished the Drug and Alcohol thing, not realizing it's not due until Wednesday, not tomorrow and I spent a whole freakin' hour on the thing. Good grief.

Problem 3. I have no idea where to get information and site my sources. My main source will be Wiki, but I don't even know what side to pick for S.S. I think I'll go against Jefferson, by thinking about the Rev. War, Civil War, Mexican/American War, etc. What are you guys doing?

Problem 4. It's already 11:30, and I'm still typing away at my computer on my blog. This problem I can easily fix. Bye guys.

No School

So, a lot of stuff has gone on since I've last posted, most of it I really don't care about. For instance, Taylor Lautner returning to New Moon *Cough*Sarah*Cough*.

First off, today is a frickin' no school day! That gives us a four-day weekend! Four days to do nothing but practice the piano and the violin, surf the web, and play video games, along with studying for our French and Vocab tests and freak out because my S.S. essay stuff is at school. Aside from all that, it's going to be a great four-day weekend. *rolls eyes*

Now, I'm excited. Madaleine and Preeti might get this, but the fourth book in the Secrets of the Immortal Nicolas Flamel series is called the Necromancer. In order, they are The Alchemyst, the Magician, the Sorceress, the Necromancer, the Warlock, and the Enchantress. Only the first two are out and the third is coming out May 26, which is depressing, because I still have to wait forever for it, just like with several other books, namely Percy Jackson.

Ahhh!!!! I'm feeling a bit stressed right now. I'm such a procrastinator. First, I haven't finished writing the Washington book thing for S.S. I promise I'll do it, Preeti and Madeleine. I'm almost done. If I have to, I'll do it before school by getting there early. Actually, I'll probably have to. Don't forget, Madeleine, you still have to draw the pictures.

Also, I have to do the book report. I don't even have the book with me! When is it due? Am I doomed? Someone HELP!! Technically, there's nothing you can do, but... I'm really worried now! Someone help? Please?

Okay, it actually hasn't been that long, but whatever. School's been great. The school play has its first performance today, though I'm not in it. I really want to go see it. Social Studies has been fine even with the essays, contrary to what Sarah might say. I'm actually enjoying CHAMP, even with it taking up so much of my time and quizzes every week and all that. Maybe I just like having three electives, but...

Anyway, I LOVE Runemarks! I just wanted to get that out there. Now that it's out of my system for tonight, I can continue with my life, somewhat. Sarah is probably rolling her eyes right now, but that's okay.

I'm starting to ramble now, so it's most likely my cue to stop, as I don't have anything to talk about anymore.
